In this kind, the scene is divided in to different zones which are then evaluated individually for the light availability and exposure requirements. Then the algorithm, which differs from camera to camera, calculates the correct amount of exposure. This is similar to aperture priority except that in this case, you can select the shutter speed and the camera will automatically select the automatically select the appropriate aperture setting. Shutter speed is the duration for which the sensor of the camera receives light. If you keep the shutter speed high, the camera sensor will receive light for a lesser time, and vice- versa.
