Buying Optical Drive Based Players?

Optical drive based players have larger screen, making them ideally suited to watching movies while on move. Since they are based on optical drive, you can carry as many movies as you need without having transferred them to the device. The only drawback of these products is that the battery life s relatively low. This is because the larger screen needs to be back lit continuously which drains the battery power. Also adding to the power load are the stereo audio speakers and the spinning optical disc drive. But the main advantage is the ability to watch the movies on a larger screen, resulting in more details and a better experience. The media is very easy to load and is easy to operate. The price depends on the features of the product. Some players have a TV tuner and FM radio but these are rarer to find.
When buying check if the product has good resolution and viewing angle. Also check for additional features like MPEG-4 playback and rewritable media compatibility. If the player has a digital audio and video output, you can even turn it into a home theater for a better viewing experience. Being larger, these devices aren’t as portable as flash or hard disk based players.
